I truly appreciate your note and response. As a student of appreciative inquiry, I ask— but why do you assume that I don’t read and comment on other writers?

I’m a spiritual person and believe in karma and that we reap what we sow… So part of my daily routine is reading other people’s work. I try to read several pieces from the same writer — invest time to get a better understanding and a snapshot of their work before I comment…

As a matter of fact, I often clap for appreciation, Tweet out their work and feature them in my pieces as expanded commentary — as I did with you…

Illumination and Medium have so many wonderful writers (and I’m a slow reader :) so while my comments may not always be “compelling” — I do my best to show my fellow writers that I value and appreciate their hard work and readership in as many ways possible.

I will admit I prefer to promote, praise and amplify versus commentary…Writing is hard and often lonely — I like to give people their flowers while they’re here.

It’s all about perspective —
